Margo and Her Mother

Tillie’s Undergraduate Thesis Film:

13 year old Margo struggles to cope with her OCD. Just when she thinks she is completely alone with her intrusive thoughts, a tenacious 8th grader, Natalia, befriends Margo. Natalia helps Margo discover out that the reason she was not given the proper tools to cope is because Margo’s mother, Amber, has become a mastermind of hiding her own struggle with OCD.

This film explores the power of new friendship and its effects on old relationships. It also explores the complexities of the mother-daughter relationship as it pertains to generational trauma.
